If you live in either the Single House or Large Lot zones in the new Auckland Unitary Plan then good news, minor dwellings are possible. 

Minor Dwellings or granny flats are a fantastic way to create regular income and to add value to your property. Minor dwellings can be built up to a maximum of 65 square metres.
